Privacy policy

Fulford ("we") makes architectural visualizations and sells add-ons for Rhino and Blender. This policy explains what personal information we collect through fulfordstudio.com and our tools, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Who is responsible

Fulford, 5626 7e Avenue, Montréal, Quebec H2N 1Y7, Canada. The person in charge of protecting personal information is Lucas Azar, partner. Write to Lucas Azar at that address, or at hello@fulfordstudio.com, with any question or request about this policy.

What we collect and why

When

What we collect

Why

You visit the site

Pages viewed, the site or campaign that sent you, device and browser type, approximate country, how far you scroll, and clicks on buttons such as Buy or Start trial

To see which pages help people and fix the ones that don't

You allow cookies

The same, plus a cookie that recognises you on later visits and a recording of your visit with everything typed into forms hidden. If you then start a trial, your licence id (never your email)

To understand decisions that take several visits

You send the contact form

Name, email, company if given, your project brief (subject, purpose, deliverables, deadline, links) and the page you sent it from

To reply, quote and, if we work together, run the project

You accept a quote on its page

Your name and when you accepted; if we invoice the deposit then, your billing address

To start the project, invoice you and keep our accounts

You start a trial

Your email, and whether you asked for news

To send one trial key per person and product, and, if you asked for news, one email some days later about how the trial is going

You buy a tool

From Stripe: your email, country, the amount paid and an order reference. We never see your card details. For add-ons without a licence key, a private download link tied to your order

To deliver and support your purchase, and for our accounts

You download a tool, or we email you about one you bought

Each download through your own link: when, which version, and whether it came from our email about a new version. For our emails about your purchase (download links, keys, new versions): whether each was delivered, delayed or bounced, as Resend reports it. We don't track whether you open our emails or click their links

To make sure updates and keys reach you, and to fix delivery problems

You ask for support, by form or email

Name, email, licence id, the versions of the tool, Rhino, Blender and your system, your messages and any attachments

To solve the problem

You agree to hear from us

Email, name if known, what you bought or tried, and when and how you agreed

To send occasional studio and product news

Cookies and analytics

Until you choose, and if you choose No thanks, analytics run without cookies. Nothing is stored on your device, and visits are counted with a code that changes every day, so one visit can't be linked to another day. Only your choice itself is kept, in your browser's local storage.

If you choose Allow, PostHog sets a cookie that recognises you on later visits and records your visit, with everything you type hidden. Change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

The contact, support and trial forms are protected from spam by Cloudflare Turnstile. It processes your IP address and browser signals to tell people from bots, and sets no tracking cookies.

Emails from us

Replies, licence keys, download links and receipts are sent because you asked for them. News is sent only if you agreed to it, or, for people in Canada, if you bought from us in the last 2 years or wrote to us about a project in the last 6 months, as Canada's anti-spam law allows. Every news email has an unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately.

Who handles it for us

These providers act on our instructions, under contracts that require them to protect the information.

PostHog

Site analytics

Servers in the European Union, run by a US company

Sending email, and receiving email sent to our support address

United States

Zoho

Our email inboxes, and our accounting: for client projects, Zoho Books makes and sends our invoices, with your name, email and billing address

United States and Ireland

Anthropic

Drafting replies to support requests, which someone at the studio reads and edits before anything is sent. It receives the request's messages, the name given and licence ids, never licence keys or email addresses, and doesn't train on them. Also drafting a first email to a firm we'd like to work with, from what the firm publishes: its name and work, and the first name and role of the person we write to. And, if you press Check the docs first on a tool's support page, answering your question from that tool's documentation, shown to you at once: it receives the question, never your name or email

United States

GitHub

Publishing the list of cancelled licence ids that the add-ons check. It holds ids only, never names or emails

United States

If you bought a tool on Superhive, that sale is covered by Superhive's own privacy policy; we receive the order reference needed to issue your key.

Several of these providers are outside Quebec and Canada. Before sending information to them we assessed how they protect it, as Quebec law requires. The laws of those countries may allow their authorities to access it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, withdraw your consent, or have it deleted, unless the law requires us to keep it (tax records, for example). In Quebec you can also ask for a copy in a structured, commonly used format, and ask us to stop sharing it.

Write to hello@fulfordstudio.com, or to Lucas Azar, Fulford, 5626 7e Avenue, Montréal, Quebec H2N 1Y7, Canada. We answer within 30 days, and may ask you to confirm who you are first. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in Europe or the UK, your local data protection authority.

Security

Only the studio's own staff can see inquiries, orders, contacts and support conversations, and only after signing in. If an incident puts your information at risk of serious harm, we will tell you and the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Children

The site and tools are not meant for children under 14, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We'll change the date at the top when this policy changes, and announce significant changes on the site.
