The Rhino panel
Control | Effect |
|---|---|
Host / Port | Where the Blender add-on is listening. |
Connect / Disconnect | Open or close the link. Reconnection is automatic while connected. |
Live sync | On: document edits stream continuously. Off: the document is sent only when you ask. |
Selection only | Send only the current Rhino selection. Useful for isolating part of a large model. |
Shared source | Treat the same file opened on different computers as one source, so the second machine updates the existing objects instead of duplicating them. |
Pin source name | Override the automatic name derived from the filename. Stored per document — each file keeps its own pin, and opening another file never inherits it. |
Detail | Render-mesh density: Coarse (0.15), Medium (0.5, default), Fine (0.85). |
Clean quads | Run QuadRemesh before sending. Produces quad topology. Significantly slower. |
Max vertices / object | Objects whose render mesh exceeds this are skipped and named in the log (default 150,000). Raise it for scans or dense terrain; |
Select problem objects (n) | Select, in Rhino, every object the last sync flagged — skipped, too heavy, or failed to serialize. Disabled when there is nothing to select. |
Filter mode | All, Include, or Exclude. |
Objects (n) / Layers (n) | Open a pickable tree with All / None / Invert. The counts show how many are currently selected. |
Type switches | Objects, Curves, Lights, Named Views, Text, Blocks, Materials, Clipping planes. |
Status | Connection state and the current source name. |
Log | Running message log, newest first. |
Settings persist across Rhino restarts.
