Syncing across two machines

  1. In Blender, enable Allow remote connections in preferences, then start the server. The add-on now listens on all interfaces.
  2. The main panel displays this machine's address as ip:port, with a copy button.
  3. On the other computer, enter that address as the Host and Port in the Rhino panel, and connect.
  4. Approve the connection in Blender.

If the same .3dm is being synced from more than one machine, turn on Shared source in Rhino so both machines update the same objects instead of creating two sets.

Traffic is unencrypted, and anyone who can reach the port and get approval can push geometry into your scene. Use this on a studio network you control, not on public Wi-Fi.
