Comps, batch renders and layered export
In the Comps & Output subpanel.
- Layer Comps save which layers show and where they sit, and optionally the camera. Click ▶ to apply one.
- Render Comps renders each ticked comp to its own file, named after it. Render Scenes does the same for each ticked scene.
- Copy Layers to Scenes (in the Compositor subpanel) copies the stack and saved selections to other scenes, such as other camera views. Images and layer nodes are shared by default, so a grade changed once applies everywhere.
Export Layers
Writes a layered file for Photoshop or Affinity: the render, then each layer's own pixels with its blend mode and opacity.
- Colour labels come through as Photoshop's layer colours.
- Layers stay whole: a layer's mask and its Behind Objects cut become a layer mask, so you can fix them in the other app.
- Groups stay groups, clipped layers stay clipped, and shadows are their own layers.
- Choose the format in the add-on's preferences:
Format | Notes |
|---|---|
Photoshop 8-bit / 16-bit (.psd) | sRGB, with masks and groups |
Multilayer OpenEXR | Half float, linear and unclamped. No masks or groups in EXR, so each mask is its own layer, and layers are numbered from the top |
